Sister-in-Law Nurse Practitioners at CCP Celebrate National Nurse Practitioner Week

In celebration of Nurse Practitioners Week, we’re excited to introduce Bria and Madeline Amedore, sisters-in-law and dedicated nurse practitioners at CCP! Madeline serves patients at Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, while Bria provides care across three different Clinical Services offices, often joining her sister-in-law at Schodack. “We joke that working together is a dream come true,” they share.

“What I love most about working at CCP is being part of a network of providers who truly care about their patients,” Bria shared. “It doesn’t feel like a big, impersonal system with others dictating your every move. Instead, it feels personal—you build real connections with your patients and the supportive coworkers around you, all working together to help one another.”

Madeline agreed with Bria’s sentiments and added, “We take an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, which I truly appreciate. I love being able to collaborate with my coworkers and connect with specialists beyond family practice to provide the best possible care for our patients.”

“What I love most about my job is the opportunity to truly connect with my patients—to have meaningful conversations and do my best to help, whether that means bringing a smile to their face or offering a bit of hope during tough times. Knowing that I can make a difference in their lives is incredibly fulfilling,” Bria shared.

“I love working in primary care because it allows me to build meaningful relationships with my patients. The most important part is meeting each patient where they are and working together toward a shared goal,” Madeline added.

When asked what advice they would offer new nurse practitioners starting their job search, Bria shared, “Evaluate your resources and what makes a company a great place to work. Having a strong support system is invaluable—having people like Maddie and other physicians to consult for a second opinion or to discuss cases with is especially helpful for new providers. Good communication and a team willing to support you and help you grow as a provider make all the difference.”

Madeline added, “Don’t settle—there are so many opportunities in this community, and the right one will come along. There’s an ideal office space for everyone in terms of both specialty and what each office provides. You’ll know when you find the right fit with everything you’re looking for.”
