Lately, we’ve had patients arrive to our offices unsure as to whether masks are still required.

Even though you may be able to visit your local store, hair salon, or even a handful of other private medical offices unmasked, this is a friendly reminder that masks are still required at ALL Community Care Physicians’ locations.

CCP closely follows and aligns its recommendations with New York State Department of Health requirements and then applies our own CCP infection control procedures based on infection and vaccination rates in our community. Our number one priority is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients to receive care. According to our guidelines, masks are still required.

We have medically vulnerable people in our offices, so please wear your mask upon arrival.

• If you are unable to wear a mask (for limited legitimate medical reasons), please notify your doctor’s office ahead of time so we can make proper accommodations according to CCP’s infection control procedures. Please note, we may still require you to wear a mask for a brief moment as you are escorted through the office’s common areas.
• If you arrive without a mask, you will be provided one that you must wear.
• If you refuse to wear a mask, to protect our staff and other patients, we may ask you to wait in your car until your exam room is available; we may convert your appointment to a virtual visit; or we may find an alternative way to care for you.

Please continue to respect our guidelines. When not followed, it disrupts patient care, puts unnecessary stress on our staff, and puts our immunocompromised and medically sensitive patients at risk. Wearing a mask to your appointment is at most a minimal inconvenience.

As infection rates decrease so will our infection control procedures. We will let you know when masks are no longer required via email, on Community Care Physicians’ website (www.communitycare.com), and on our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Until then, please stick that mask in your pocket and put it on when at Community Care Physicians’ offices.
