North Greenbush, NY (October 1, 2018) — Community Care Physicians (CCP) announced its North Greenbush Urgent Care Center will move effective October 1, 2018 and consolidate staff and services with CCP’s nearby Urgent Care Centers in Latham and Albany. Relocating North Greenbush Urgent Care, currently located at 101 Jordan Road in Troy, allows CCP to focus on further opening access at its primary care locations and developing key Urgent Care locations to serve its patients and communities.

“Convenience and access have always been our priorities at CCP. Our Urgent Care Centers complement our primary care offices, so patients can receive care when their regular practitioner is unavailable. As our primary care locations implement extended hours and walk in hours, CCP is re-evaluating our Urgent Care locations to best serve our patients,” says Michelle Ryan, Senior Director of Operations for Community Care Physicians. “Additionally, CCP is exploring new ways to deliver our urgent care services as we see a greater proliferation of Centers in the area. We are focusing on developing a few key urgent care locations, or ‘super Centers’, that can offer an expanded list of services in a walk-in, cost effective setting.”

The Urgent Care Center of Latham, which opened in 2000, is located in the Capital Region Health Park and Urgent Care Center of Albany, which opened in 2016, is located on Myrtle Avenue, directly across from AMC Hospital. Town residents can easily get to the Latham and Albany locations, which offer day, weeknight, weekend and holiday hours. While CCP encourages patients to utilize primary care offices for their first point of access for care, the Urgent Care Centers support patients when their doctor’s office isn’t immediately available. “Using CCP’s Urgent Care is convenient for any patient, but it is even more convenient for existing patients of CCP, since all of our practices share the same electronic health system and records pertaining to the urgent care visit are immediately available to the patient’s primary care provider,” says Ms. Ryan.  Plus, using CCP’s Urgent Care Center can help save the time and cost related to an unnecessary ER visit.

Latham and Albany Urgent Care Center offer a full scope of services, including but not limited to: care for cold/flu, allergies, UTI, URI, STD, infections, asthma, plaster splinting until orthopedics follow-up, stitches and minor laceration repair, workers compensation, no fault, and STAT and non-STAT lab testing. X-ray services are available on-site at Latham Urgent Care and for patients who visit Albany Urgent Care, X-ray services are provided directly across the street at AMC Hospital. Additional services are being evaluated to offer in the future. The Urgent Care Center of Latham is located at 711 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, NY 12110. Hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 11:30pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am to 7:30pm; and holidays 10am to 4:30pm. The Urgent Care Center of Albany is located at 391 Myrtle Avenue, 4th floor, Suite 4D, Albany, NY 12208. Hours are Monday-Sunday 10am to 7:30pm and holidays 10am to 4:30pm. Patients of all ages can walk in for care, regardless of where they live and who they normally see for medical care. Most major health insurances are accepted.
