Dr. Jenny Torre earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Originally from the Capital District, she went on to pursue her residency in pediatrics at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Torre’s work is based on her passion for advocating and working with children, including those with special needs. Dr. Torre is active on the NYS AAP Council on Children with Disabilities and has nationally published research regarding social participation and transitions of children with spina bifida and autism spectrum disorder.
Apart from her dedication to her patients, Dr. Torre has been active in therapeutic horseback riding for children with special needs. Dr. Torre’s other interests include nutrition and childhood obesity, which motivated her to start a Farmers Market right here in Albany’s South End. Her farmer’s market not only provides fresh fruits and vegetables but also offers fitness and nutritional education to children and families.
In her spare time, Dr. Torre enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, traveling, and the outdoors.
Dr. Torre specializes in pediatrics and developmental pediatrics. She sees patients at CapitalCare Developmental Pediatrics and CapitalCare Pediatrics Troy.
