Community Care Physicians is proud to welcome Dr. Matthew Stringer, a board-certified urologist, to our Community Care Urology team. With advanced training in male reproductive health and genitourinary surgery, Dr. Stringer brings a wealth of expertise—and two new in-demand services—to the Capital Region: vasectomy reversal and treatment for Peyronie’s Disease.
Dr. Stringer earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a general surgery internship and a urology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center. He also served as a Urologist in the U.S. Air Force for over a decade, where one of the most formative experiences of his career was caring for soldiers with urologic injuries sustained in combat. His clinical approach blends precision, compassion, and a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges patients face.
“I’m honored to join Community Care and expand access to specialty care for men in our region,” said Dr. Stringer. “Many of the conditions I treat—like Peyronie’s Disease or vasectomy reversal—can deeply impact a person’s quality of life and relationships. My goal is to provide straightforward answers, real options, and excellent outcomes.”
A firm believer in personalized care, Dr. Stringer carefully tailors each treatment plan based on how a patient’s symptoms impact their day-to-day life. Whether through minimally invasive surgery or other advanced treatments, he brings both technical skill and deep empathy to every encounter.

Expanding Access to Vasectomy Reversal in the Capital Region
Until now, patients seeking vasectomy reversal often had to travel out of the area or explore more costly alternatives like IVF. Dr. Stringer now offers microsurgical vasectomy reversal locally at Ellis Hospital, using refined techniques under magnification to reconnect the vas deferens with precision. The procedure boasts a success rate over 90% if performed within 3 years of the original vasectomy—and remains effective even beyond 10 years.
Specialized Care for Peyronie’s Disease
Dr. Stringer also brings advanced treatment options for Peyronie’s Disease, a condition marked by penile curvature, pain, and sexual dysfunction. His approach includes minimally invasive Xiaflex® injections combined with a custom at-home “remodeling” protocol. For more complex cases, he also performs plication and penile implant surgeries at Ellis Hospital—offering a full spectrum of care for a condition that many providers are not trained to manage.
Now Accepting New Patients
Dr. Stringer is currently accepting new patients at Community Care Urology in Clifton Park. He treats a wide range of urologic conditions, with a particular focus on male reproductive health, erectile dysfunction, and surgical reconstruction.
