Colin Meagher, PA-C from CapitalCare Charlton Family Medicine, was voted runner-up in the Best of the Best General Practice Doctor category! Colin Meagher is a certified physician assistant. He received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College. Colin always knew he wanted to be involved in the medical field, but he didn’t know that was being a physician assistant until halfway through his undergraduate studies. He first started with physical therapy in mind. Colin has always been fascinated with improving health through disease prevention, exercise, and nutrition. During his sophomore year of college, he had the opportunity to shadow a physician assistant and fell in love with the profession. Colin loves the variety of care you can provide as a physician assistant, including his interest in nutrition and exercise. Talking to patients and helping them in any way possible is what he loves most about working in family medicine. Outside of medicine, Colin enjoys hiking, biking, and running.

I can’t put into words how honored I am to be voted runner-up in the Gazette’s Best of the Best General Practice Doctor category. This is the community I grew up in and love.
