What Exercise Can Do For Men's Sexual Health

Men who exercise more have better erectile and sexual function, according to a recent study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

This study represents all males, no matter their race, unlike previous studies conducted. Nearly 300 participants self-reported their activity levels, which researchers then categorized as sedentary, mildly active, moderately active or highly active. The participants also reported their sexual function, including the ability to have erections, orgasms, the quality and frequency of erections and overall sexual function.

The study found that the men who exercised more frequently experienced higher sexual scores than the men who did not exercise as much, regardless of race. Contributors of low sexual function included diabetes, older age, past or current smoking and coronary artery disease.

Please be advised that exercises should be tailored to each individual and should be based on current health conditions. Consult your Community Care Physicians doctor about an appropriate exercise program for you.
