Victoria Every is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She began her undergraduate studies at DeSales University, earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She then completed her AGPCNP degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Victoria’s background in pulmonary and cardiology ultimately drew her to specialize in weight management. She witnessed firsthand how obesity can affect overall health and how maintaining a healthy weight can drastically improve medical problems.
Victoria initially was an EMT and worked alongside first responders and medical providers. It was during this time she knew she wanted to become a nurse herself. Her favorite part of being a nurse practitioner is the patient interaction and continuity of care. As an Air Force spouse, she loves when she is able to connect with patients on that level too.
Victoria believes assessing every aspect of a patient and treating them as a whole, and not just one problem, is most important. She will take the time to get to know each and every one of her patients and follow through with them throughout their care. Whether good or bad, Victoria strives to always be honest with her patients. Seeing positive outcomes in her patients is what brings her the most satisfaction professionally.
Victoria is originally from Connecticut. She studied in both Pennsylvania and Arkansas. When her husband transferred to the Air National Guard, they were able to move to the Capital Region to be closer to family. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, bowling, and salsa dancing.
