Michelle Cerone is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. Michelle has nearly 15 years of experience in the nursing profession. She cares for patients of all ages and specializes in family medicine. Michelle received her Master of Science in nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. She began her nursing studies at Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy, NY, earning her Associate of Science. Michelle also holds a Bachelor of Art with a dual focus in Photography and Theater from Bennington College in Bennington, VT. She is particularly interested in women’s health, lactation support, pediatrics, and LGBTQ+/hormone therapy.
After taking an anatomy and physiology course, Michelle was hooked and transitioned her studies from art to medicine. She loves helping and educating patients. Michelle believes it is most important to gain her patient’s trust, treat each patient holistically, listen, and think outside the box to help her patients. Her goal is to become her patient’s partner in their healthcare journey by meeting them where they are and helping them achieve their health goals.
“Where there is a will, there is a way,” Michelle quotes when discussing her time in advanced practitioner school, completing clinical and boards, all while pregnant and during a global pandemic. She is originally from upstate New York. Outside work, Michelle enjoys gardening, cooking, family time, travel, and the outdoors.
