McKenzie Flemming earned her Master of Science at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she became a certified physician assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in exercise science from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. McKenzie sees patients aged 16 and older.
McKenzie became interested in medicine when she was in high school and had the opportunity to shadow a physician assistant and consequently pursued her education in the medical field. She finds the most rewarding aspect of being a physician assistant is that she can build relationships with patients and treat the whole patient, not just the disease. McKenzie has an interest in rheumatology, dermatology, and preventive care. What she loves most about her job is the relationships she can build with her patients and following their care through different stages of life. She has volunteered her time for the Ronald McDonald House, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.
In her free time, McKenzie enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, playing with her boxer dog, and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks.
