Eugenia Voronin

Eugenia Voronin is a bilingual board-certified family nurse practitioner fluent in Russian and a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Northeast Chapter of the Society for Vascular Nursing, the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner from Sage Graduate School in Albany, NY. Eugenia began her nursing studies at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She also completed a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Hunter College in New York, NY. Eugenia is interested in health promotion and optimization of chronic disease management, wound care, and cardiovascular health.

Eugenia knew she wanted to pursue medicine since childhood; all of her family is in the medical field, whether they are doctors or nurses. She was intrigued by the human psyche from an early age, which is why she initially pursued her bachelor’s degree. Still, she wanted to integrate that with the physical and social aspects and treat an individual holistically, and nursing seemed to be the best fit. Eugenia’s favorite part about being a nurse practitioner is hearing patients’ stories. When caring for patients, she first views the patient as a primary agent and determinant in their healthcare since they know themselves best. Eugenia believes she is there to listen, guide, and offer suggestions based on her expertise and training. Together with her patients, she will find solutions and ultimately help the patient feel like they are in charge and control of their health and life. What brings Eugenia the most satisfaction professionally is resolving the complex situation that the patient is facing and helping patients achieve their health goals and desired quality of life.

Eugenia is originally from Ukraine and lived in Brooklyn for her teenage and young adult years. She moved to Albany for her first nursing job, fell in love with the area, stayed to continue her education, and is happily raising her family in the Clifton Park area. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, nature, sightseeing, photography, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
