Dr. Sheryl Brown is board certified in family medicine providing medical care for patients of all ages. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Saint Michael, Barbados, and completed a family medicine residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Brown began her studies at the State University of New York College at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, earning her Bachelor of Science. She has a particular interest in geriatric health, women's health, physician and patient education, and global health. Dr. Brown is a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority incorporated. Her organization is focused on community service and giving back to our underserved communities. She is also a clinical assistant professor for Albany Medical Center and serves as a medical educator for medical students in the community.
Dr. Brown decided to pursue medicine at a very young age. She loves science and the challenge of making a diagnosis that will improve someone's life. Dr. Brown notes that she is most happy when she is spending time with patients getting to know them, and understand what role she can play, if any, to improve their quality of life.
In her spare time, Dr. Brown and her husband are busy raising their three young children. It is her deepest joy to be blessed with the opportunity to raise her beautiful babies with her wonderful husband.
