Barbara Lahut is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her advanced nursing degree from Community General Hospital Nurse Practitioner Program, in Syracuse, NY, and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from State University at Albany in Albany, NY. Barbara has been passionate about women’s health since earlier in her career as a labor and delivery nurse in the hospital setting. In her role as nurse practitioner, she has experience working in a teen residential facility, inner city clinics, and community private practices.
Barbara has participated in medical missions to Central America and the Caribbean, and volunteers with the Cancer Services Program to offer screening examinations for uninsured women. What Barbara enjoys most about her position is helping to educate women about their health, bodies, and wellbeing. Her focus is generally on preventive measures that will improve the quality of life for many decades.
