Carolyn Heins, DO
Dr. Heins, originally from Connecticut, received her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Siena College. She proceeded to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine from Albany Medical Center. Dr. Heins is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Heins chose to specialize in family medicine because she enjoyed taking care of a wide range of patients, from infants to geriatrics patients. She liked that the scope of patients made for something new every day. She has a particular medical interest in prevention and wellness, and women’s health. Dr. Heins favorite part of her job is being able to work with patients with severe medical problems and watch them improve over time. She also enjoys that she can take care of babies from prenatal care to after delivery.
In her spare time, Dr. Heins enjoying spending time with her miniature dachshund, Harley.
