Dr. KrisEmily McCrory, MS Med Ed, FAAFP, is a board-certified family physician. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. McCrory received her medical degree with distinction in bioethics from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She went on to earn her Master of Science in medical education from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, where she completed a capstone on the development of a three-tier maternity curriculum for family medicine residency. She completed a family medicine residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. McCrory also received a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts from Simmons University in Boston, MA. She has additional certifications in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. McCrory is the recipient of the Ellis Family Medicine Residency Teacher of the Year award in 2020 and the New York Academy of Family Physicians Family Medicine Educator of the Year award in 2019.
Dr. McCrory loves working with patients and helping to partner with them to work towards achieving their health goals. Meeting patients where they are and working together is most important because she believes it's truly a partnership. Both the patient and Dr. McCrory bring something to the provider-patient relationship. She values open communication and mutual respect to help achieve optimal health for someone in whatever circumstances they may be facing.
Outside of medicine, Dr. McCrory enjoys knitting and reading.
