Dr. J. Antonio Reyes, MBA, FAAFP, works with a diverse patient population within the Capital Region as a Filipino-speaking physician. Dr. Reyes is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Reyes earned his medical degree from the University of the East and completed a family medicine residency at St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, where he was also Chief Resident. He obtained his bachelor's degree in biology from De La Salle University and an MBA in healthcare management from Clarkson University. This interest in medicine stemmed from his grandfather's work as a physician, dentist, farmer, and town mayor. Prior to joining Community Care Physicians, Dr. Reyes was the Medical Director for Primary Care and Practice Transformation for a local healthcare system. Dr. Reyes continues to pursue his interest by precepting residents and medical students.
He values his time helping others and developing strong relationships with his colleagues, staff, and especially patients. He strives to be empathetic toward each individual, which is key to creating a successful physician-patient relationship in his eyes. Dr. Reyes has a particular interest in preventive medicine, practice management, including innovation and value-based care. One of his many hobbies includes volunteering at various church and parish ministries, as well as traveling, hiking, experiencing ethnic foods, and learning about history.
