Benjamin Colwell, MS, is a certified physician assistant and a member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. Benjamin began his studies at Le Moyne College, earning his Bachelor of Science in biology. He has a particular interest in preventive medicine, keeping people healthy, happy, and fit to live a long and well life.
Benjamin always wanted to pursue a career in medicine. He grew up with his mother working in a hospital and learned to appreciate the healthcare setting and wanted to help people through difficult moments himself. What Benjamin loves most about his job is forming close relationships with his patients and getting to know them by being a good listener. He believes treating each patient holistically and knowing their health and wellbeing spiritually, physically, and emotionally is most important.
Benjamin is originally from Syracuse but his way to the Capital Region to practice medicine. He volunteers at the animal shelter and his local fire department. In his spare time, Benjamin enjoys exercising, playing soccer, mountain biking, and hiking.
