Susan Stein is a Board-certified family nurse practitioner at Partners in Family Medicine North Greenbush. She has provided primary care to patients for over 25 years.
Originally from Delhi, NY, Susan received her RN certificate from Charles Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY and her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University College at Oneonta. After earning her degree, she practiced as a school nurse in the Delhi Central School District and was a Clinical Instructor at the SUNY Delhi Nursing Program. She began working as a nurse in a hospital setting, when she heard about a new kind of nursing position called “Nurse Practitioner”. As she learned more about that position, she found she enjoyed the responsibilities and decided to choose the path of a nurse practitioner. Susan attended Sage Graduate School, earned her Master of Science Degree and became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Susan chose to specialize in family medicine because she loves being able to see a range of patients, from babies to grandparents. She has a special interest in prevention and wellness, diet therapy, and promoting exercise and movement. Susan’s favorite part of her job is being able to interact with patients, talk about their lives and watch them grow.
When Susan isn’t working, she loves to ride horses on her farm and go on trails. She also raises chickens, tends to her organic garden and enjoys running marathons.
