Patrick Matolka, PA-C

Patrick is a physician assistant at Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. A native of New York, he received his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College and is a member of the Pi Alpha Honor Society, an elite national society for PA's.

Patrick's medical experience began in 2003 when he enlisted in the military. After basic training, he attended the Army Medical Center and School at Fort Sam Houston in Texas, where he was a student in the Combat Medic and Licensed Practical Nursing Program. He received his certificate to be an LPN and started working at the Brook Army Medical Center. After two years, he was deployed to Iraq for 15 months, where he worked at the camp's intensive care unit and immunization clinic. Patrick was discharged honorably with the rank of Sergeant.

After many years of experience in the emergent and intensive medical setting, Patrick's interest now lies in Internal Medicine. When he is not practicing medicine, Patrick enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking and rock climbing.
