Marissa Gruskoff, originally from Brooklyn, NY, is a Certified Nurse Midwife who began her career by earning her Bachelor Degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Midwifery from New York University in New York, NY. During her schooling she was a student midwife at Maimonides Medical Center, Lutheran Family Health Center, and Brooklyn Hospital Center, all located in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to joining Community Care Physicians, Marissa resided in Brooklyn, where she gained experience from multiple hospitals and began her career in midwifery.
Marissa decided to pursue a career in midwifery when she went into preterm labor and made a connection with the midwife that was caring for her. She enjoys the bond that is made with patients and being able to treat them like family. She strives to make her patients her top priority.
When Marissa isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active by hiking and enjoying the Adirondacks. She is also an animal lover and has a passion for rescuing animals in need.
