Padi Sutherland, CNM
"I really enjoy caring for women through providing comfortable annual exams, exploring family planning and birth control options, helping to solve gynecologic problems, and being a supportive guide for pregnancy-related healthcare. Birth is my passion, and I strive to create space within which women and their families feel informed and supported in their own birth choices."
Padi Sutherland is a Certified Nurse Midwife who grew up in England and later moved to the Unites States in pursuit of higher education and changing seasons. This landed in her Florida where she attended the University of Florida, College of Nursing in Gainesville, FL, and received both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Master of Science Degree in Nursing. Padi is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Padi chose to specialize in midwifery because she enjoys taking care of women, providing them with informed choices and consent in healthcare. She has a special medical interest in pregnancy and pre-natal care, birth control, and teen health. In her spare time, Padi enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, exercising, gardening, and traveling. She also likes to engage in her community by volunteering for BOCES Art in Education service.
Abigail Rauf, CNM
Abigail, originally from Greene County, earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Maria College. She went on to receive her Master’s of Science Degree in Nurse Midwifery from Stony Brook University. She Certified Nurse Midwife and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Abigail chose to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology after her first experience during her undergraduate training, participating in a beautiful delivery of twins. She knew from that point on that she wanted to be a midwife. She has a special medical interest in women who lack emotional support during pregnancy and postpartum depression. Since a young age, Abigail had an intrinsic desire to help others going through difficult times. Her favorite part of her job is the reward of knowing at the end of the day that she helped patients move forward in their life and their health. In her free time, Abigail enjoys music, being outdoors hiking and camping, and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.
